We caught up with Danielle Windsor, owner of Windsors Wardrobe, a fashion and styling company launched in 2014

Who are you and what do you do?

I am Danielle Windsor and I founded Windsors Wardrobe fashion and styling company in 2014. We not only sell clothing but help with full styling advice in the comfort of your own home too. We are just about to move into our new premises House of Windsor in Woodford.

Where do you live and why?

I live in Woodford, which is a lovely tight community. What we have in my local area is quite rare. I love that within 15 minutes of home I can feel I’m in the countryside, but also 15 minutes the other direction I’m in east London surrounded by creativity.

What is the best part of your job?

The best part of my job no doubt is seeing ladies who have none or very little time for themselves. Perhaps they have lost confidence along the way, but we try to make them feel fabulous about themselves again.

It is so easy with all the balls us women juggle on a daily basis to get stuck in a style rut. House of Windsor can show you that with a few tweaks you can update your wardrobe and get your ‘swish’ back.

What do you do after work?

After work I try and spend quality time with my son Tate. Being a single parent and running a business requires a lot of balance. We like to hang out with friends, watch movies, and love to eat out. I’ve created a restaurant critic at 10-years-old!

How do you relax?

Relax? What’s that? I am trying more to relax and recharge. What really rebalances me is having a reiki session with Kim at Mode in Loughton or a reflexology treatment which I’m lucky to have two close friends who are experts in this field. A bath with lavender oils, a Parkminster Rosemary & Basil candle burning and a glass of Malbec also helps!

One skill you don’t have what would it be?

I would love to be able to paint, I love art. My must have goal this year is to have a wall mural from The House of Artists.

Favourite place to visit in West Essex?

Handily I live walking distance from La Sala, good food and live music. Love it equally for family celebrations and for girls nights out.

Where do you like to go with the girls?

We love to try and experience something new and find fun events that are slightly outside the box. Morning Gloryville is a great early morning rave that starts at 6am and is totally energising.

For nights out we tend to go to Shoreditch House for dinner and have far too many cocktails. None of us can cope with hangovers anymore though!

What is your biggest achievement in your career so far?

My biggest achievement is the opening of my boutique House Of Windsor. It has been a hard few years for me, but the fact that I am achieving a life long career dream, even in challenging times makes me feel quite proud. Exciting times ahead!

What is the most important lesson life has taught you?

Always follow your gut instincts they are very rarely wrong and surround yourself with great people and good energy. Also a black blazer will come to the rescue time and time again.
