First charity event is a big success for DPCR
RECENTLY-formed charity, Development of Pancreatic Cancer Research (DPCR) held a fundraising Quiz Night at Woolston Manor Golf & Country Club on Sunday, February 7. More than 200 people attended and nearly 5,000 was raised for the charity.
Development of Pancreatic Cancer Research aims to raise awareness of pancreatic cancer and better inform the public about the disease and the symptoms that may occur. The charitys chairperson, Carly Hand, said: It was a big night for us as it was our first charity event. We are thrilled with the support that the charity has received and a fun, fantastic night was had by all. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody involved. Their efforts were hugely appreciated.
