It is a local established family business, which specialises in working with customers and their families who require health care in their own homes. They provide a unique service of tailored care visits, which range from short visits of 30 minutes to full live-in support.
Elsie Day has lived in the London borough of Redbridge for many years, but her reduced mobility has required her to rely on daily assistance from a Bluebird carer, which enables her to stay at home with total independence and confidence.
Elsie says: ‘I have daily assistance from Kiera, my carer, and she is so lovely, helpful and caring. She is so gentle when she helps me to shower, taking her time not to rush me, and then she massages cream into my legs. We call it my dream cream. She really makes my day and I look forward to her visits. She is a brilliant cook too and she will cook me anything from egg on toast to a Sunday roast dinner.’
She adds: ‘My family have confidence and peace of mind that I have my independence and I’m looked after too.’
Everyday living can be stressful and Bluebird care provide care for anyone who requires any assistance, including common services such as people who need help getting up in the morning or going to bed and ensuring medication is administered.
Courtney Small has been using Bluebird Care services for more than two years to help assist him with his daily routine. Courtney says: ‘They are local to where I live, and my daughters helped me look for care at home as I hadn’t had this type of support before. Bluebird are on the approved care provider listing with the local authorities. I’m still able to get out and about with the aid and support from my family, friends and mobility scooter, so I just get help in the mornings.’
He adds: ‘My carer Freda always talks me through everything she is going to assist me with, especially my oxygen mask. She provides me with advice and suggestions for my pain relief when I need it. I really look forward to her visits as she is friendly, chatty and just wonderful!’
Tracey McCormack has been director at Bluebird Care in Essex West, Redbridge and Mid Essex for more than six years, and believes Bluebird Care differentiates itself from other care providers due to their absolute commitment to quality, dignity and respect. Tracey adds: ‘Many people may just prefer some simple companionship time, in or out of home, and would like someone to chat to or just take them out for a couple of hours. Sometimes a weekly pampering session appeals to both young and old alike, with the chance to de-stress and increase the feeling of wellbeing.’
Bluebird Care offices are now able to offer care to children and their families either on an on-going basis or simply for respite care from time to time.
Courtney adds: ‘They can provide services for all needs. What I can say is that I didn’t realise how much I actually needed their help. If I have any concerns I can always call the office for advice and support 24/7.’
