These delicious little bites are not only delicious, they are absolutely packed with energy, making them the perfect post-workout snack.

Makes 15 balls

• 150g pitted dates

• 75g hazelnuts

• 20ml water

• 25g desiccated coconut

• 3 tbs cacao powder

1. In a food processor, add the hazelnuts. Blend until roughly chopped up. Remove half and set aside. Add the dates, cacao powder, coconut and water. Blend to a chunky paste.

2. Spoon out in to a bowl, and using teaspoon sized amounts of mixture roll the mix into small balls. Roll the balls in the set aside hazelnuts so they get that ‘Ferrero Rocher’ look.

3. Put in a sealed tin and keep in the fridge so they set firm.
