Forest is a well-rounded, happy, busy school offering excellent academic provision and a full range of co-curricular opportunities, with around 1400 boys and girls from 4 – 18yrs
They believe that our combination of single-sex and mixed educational opportunities - the diamond structure - gives pupils the best of all worlds. They thrive on it.
Within the Prep School and Senior School, the Form and House system means that pupils are looked after in small units of care. In the Pre-Prep (4 - 7) and Sixth Form (16 - 18), boys and girls are taught together, but between the ages of 7 and 16 pupils are taught in separate classes, to maximise the benefits of single-sex teaching for children of that age.
Life is not a single-sex environment, however, and a child's social development involves learning to form relationships with a wide range of people. This is where Forest's diamond structure comes into its own.
Outside the classroom, for example, boys and girls of all ages mix in a wide range of co-curricular activities; brothers and sisters share the same school in a way that single-sex teaching would otherwise preclude.
They benefit from a tremendous location, a city school with thirty acres of grounds surrounded by ancient forest here on the very edge of London, all creating a wonderfully diverse community for pupils that they are very proud of.
You will find details of future opportunities to visit Forest on their website.
The Summer Open Evening takes place on Monday 24th June, 4.30pm -7pm.
