A ROYAL WELCOME ATTHE QUEENS ROOMS

Everyone in North Chingford knows Sevi and Katy from their days at Godots in Station Road; customers quickly became friends while the two young women were there, making all the difference in the sometimes anonymous world of dining.

Now Sevi and Katy are living their ultimate dream of running their own coffee shop and wine bar the Queens Rooms in Buckhurst Hill. The Queens Rooms is a great place to start the day with an English or continental breakfast or to enjoy early or mid-morning tea or coffee with a freshly baked baguette, croissant or scone. Freshly prepared paninis and ciabattas are also popular along with omelettes and jacket potatoes which feature in the hot meals menu. In the afternoon their home made cakes, muffins and pastries are a fitting treat; perhaps with a glass of chilled Prosecco?

The Queens Rooms is fully licensed until 6pm, however once the extended alcohol licence comes through, it will become an intimate wine bar during the evenings serving fine wines, champagnes and bar snacks. Morning, noon or evening there will be a warm welcome from Sevi and Katy that is fit for royalty.




WHITEBULL BRINGS WEST END FINESSETO LOUGHTON

The opening of the Whitebull Brasserie in Loughton is tipped to be a truly star-studded event. Head chef of world-renowned Le Caprice, Lee Bull, is bringing his unrivalled reputation for innovation, creativity and style to his home town.

The bespoke open plan, glass walled kitchen has been specially designed by Lee so all guests can see him and his highly skilled team at work. All ingredients will be sourced from the British Isles which is of paramount importance to Lee, who states: When we first decided on the concept for the restaurant, we thought Loughton was the ideal location. There is definitely a market for what we want to achieve - quality food at a reasonable price. Influences will be drawn from my experience working at various restaurants across the Caprice Holdings Group.

Whitebull Brasserie will be a light and spacious venue, ideal for a light bite or corporate lunch, with an outdoor undercover terrace ideal for those long summer afternoons. By night, it will offer an exciting and inspiring dining experience, which until now was difficult to find outside London. Inspired by the local art movement, this unique setting will also be a venue to showcase local art and all artwork will be available to buy at bull-lockspics.com .

TABLE 7 TO HOST THE MOST EXTRAVAGANT BANQUET

Maybe this time you missed out and the royal couple forgot to put you on the guest list? Then take a seat at Table 7 for a sumptuous banquet to toast the newly-weds; enjoy a rich and opulent menu with delicacies worthy of any king or queen such as lobster, caviar, truffles and of course champagne in abundance.

Youll be entertained whilst you dine with mellow and soulful tunes from a singer taking inspiration from the likes of Frank Sinatra and Michael Buble. There will be auctions and raffles for a chance to bring home a little something to remember the evening by and Table 7 are proud to announce that 10% of all proceeds will be donated to the Princess Diana Memorial Fund; a fitting charity with the evening held in honour of her eldest son and his new bride.

RESTAURANT LOOKING FOR THE CHEF FACTOR

Those with a love of cooking have had the opportunity to enter a fantastic new Top Dish competition; hoping to prove their worth and find their way to Chef Factor 2011. The event on 2nd April is sponsored by Guardian Series Newspapers in partnership with Waltham Forest College and the popular Star of India restaurant and its charity the Cygnus Trust.

The competition set out to find 10 Top Dish contestants to demonstrate their cooking skills to a panel of judges who love good food, with two contestants going through to Chef Factor 2011 and a chance to win 300.

Well be waiting for news and hoping to see a West Essex winner holding the trophy!
