STAFF FROM Laing O’Rourke made a visit to Haven House last month to donate £6,000 to the Woodford Green hospice. The funds from the engineering enterprise will be used to build a new sensory garden in the hospice’s woodland setting in Mallinson Park, which will provide a specialist outdoor space for life-limited children and families. The company will also be managing the build and providing labour and materials, as a gift in kind to the charity.

Malcolm Nelson of Laing O’Rourke, project director for the build, explains: ‘Our team is really looking forward to helping plan and build the garden. The space at present needs a total overhaul and we want to create an interactive and engaging space for the children and their families to enjoy.’
