To commemorate the British Sandwich Week on May 8-14, two local culinary chefs have joined in the week-long celebration and have shared their most iconic mouth-watering sandwich. Here BLT Catering shares its recipe for this delicious fresh seafood and avocado wrap

(Serves 1)


• 1 x 12 inch flour tortilla wrap

• 80g of Scottish smoked salmon

• 80g of fresh prawns

• ¼ of avocado pear

• 20g of cream cheese

• Triple green leaves

• Spring onion

• Cucumber

• Mustard Cress

• Drizzle of sweet chilli sauce

• Fresh cracked black pepper

• Squeeze of lemon juice

Optional: fresh mint, basil & coriander


1 Spread the cream cheese over 12inch floured tortilla wrap

2 Add smoked salmon slices, season with lemon & cracked pepper

3 Add triple green leaves, chopped spring onion, mustard cress and sliced avocado pear. Then finish by adding the prawns

4 Drizzle with sweet chilli sauce

5 Fold in the sides of the wrap and roll tight and try not to break the wrap

6 Cut in half and enjoy
