After star baker Marie was compared to Rod Stewart this week, we couldn’t help but spot that many of the other contestants shared some spooky similarities with celebrities too…

GBBO Alvin and Manny PacquiaoGBBO Alvin and Manny Pacquiao

We think Alvin, a 37 year old nurse from Berkshire, is the spitting image of world champion boxer Manny Pacquiao, so should we be expecting a knock-out in the Bake Off tent from Alvin this year?

She might have been compared to Rod Stewart, but we think 66 year old Marie looks more like Wendolene from Wallace and Gromit!

Sandy, a 49 year old child welfare officer from Bradford, could easily be mistaken for the Great British Bake Off’s very own Mel Giedroyc!

GBBO Stuart and Justin TimberlakeGBBO Stuart and Justin Timberlake

We couldn’t help but compare professional musician Stu with fellow trilby-wearing musician Justin Timberlake. We just hope poor Stu hasn’t been crying a river over his short-lived Bake Off career!

GBBO Mat and Stephen MerchantGBBO Mat and Stephen Merchant

When we first saw London fire-fighter Mat on our screens, we nearly mistook him for Bristolian comedian and actor, Stephen Merchant. What do you think?

GBBO Ian and Nigel HaversGBBO Ian and Nigel Havers

Could househusband and Dalai Lama’s personal photographer Ian be actor Nigel Havers’ long-lost twin?

GBBO Nadiya and Konnie HuqGBBO Nadiya and Konnie Huq

We think Nadiya deserves a Blue Peter badge for being former TV presenter Konnie Huq’s best lookalike.

GBBO Paul and Judge Paul HollywoodGBBO Paul and Judge Paul Hollywood

Paul has been described as Great British Bake Off Judge, Paul Hollywood’s ‘Crimewatch E-fit’, but we disagree. Paul could definitely give Mr Hollywood a run for his money in the looks department!

GBBO Ugne and Denise Van OutenGBBO Ugne and Denise Van Outen

With her blonde hair and blue eyes, bodybuilding Lithuanian Ugne could easily be mistaken for fellow Essex neighbour and TV presenter Denise Van Outen.

GBBO Flora and Emma StoneGBBO Flora and Emma Stone

Flora caused quite a debate is the office - does she look like actresses Emma Stone or Emma Watson? We finally settled with Emma Stone but the issue is still up for debate!

GBBO Tamal and Dev PatelGBBO Tamal and Dev Patel

29 year old, trainee anaesthetist Tamal from Manchester definitely has a dose of Slumdog Millionaire’s Dev Patel in him.

GBBO Dorret and Lenny KravitzGBBO Dorret and Lenny Kravitz

We bet Lenny Kravitz lookalike Dorret, thought her #GBBO chances were ruined after her Black Forest gateau disaster. But have no fear, ‘It Ain’t Over ‘Til It’s Over’ Dorret!
